Our Passion for Huskies
Founded in 2025 by a group of dedicated animal lovers, SLED Husky Adventures was born out of a deep passion for working with huskies. The idea blossomed after realizing the potential of rehomed dogs to bring joy and adventure to people’s lives. Our mission was clear: to offer thrilling sledding experiences while providing these wonderful dogs a second chance.
We have proudly served countless families and adventure seekers from around the globe. Our visitors are often looking for unique experiences that combine nature and animal companionship. With our focus on small group interactions, we ensure that every client feels special during their time with us.
Our Journey
SLED Husky Adventures began with a simple dream to merge adventure and animal welfare. A group of passionate individuals recognized a need for sustainable sledding experiences that would also help rehomed dogs find loving families. Their vision led to the establishment of our main kennel in Meltosjärvi.
Our dedicated team consists of trained professionals and loving caretakers who prioritize the well-being of our dogs. Each staff member is passionate about providing exceptional experiences and fostering strong connections between the dogs and our clients. Together, we ensure a safe and enriching environment for both our guests and huskies.
Currently, we operate two facilities: the main kennel in Meltosjärvi and a smaller winter facility in Rovaniemi. Each location is designed to provide high-quality care for our huskies while facilitating unique sledding experiences in stunning settings. This dual approach allows us to cater to a wider audience.
Since our founding, we have received recognition for our commitment to animal welfare and exceptional customer experiences. Our efforts have been honored with several local awards celebrating our unique approach to combining adventure tourism with giving second chance dogs a new lease on life.
